Developed specifically for the unique requirements of the packaging industry, Kodak THERMOFLEX platesetters help turn prepress into a controlled, digital manufacturing process. THERMOFLEX CTP systems enhance the quality of flexographic printing, reduce cycle times, and improve process control by eliminating variables in the plate manufacturing process.

The THERMOFLEX Wide platesetter is the cornerstone of any large-volume operation, from flexible packaging converters producing sleeves, to corrugated packaging trade shops making plates up to 6.35mm (.25 in.). It is available in three modes - sheet only, sleeve only, and combination sheet/sleeve. In sleeve mode, the THERMOFLEX Wide platesetter supports both seamless photopolymer sleeves as well as digital plate-on-sleeve imaging applications.

 

The unique quick-change feature enables a single operator to switch the THERMOFLEX platesetter from sheet mode to sleeve mode in a matter of minutes, without the need for any auxiliary equipment. The system allows on-device sleeve load and unload without the need for an offline load/unload station, reducing labor, time, and space requirements. The THERMOFLEX Wide device forms part of a complete digital plate-on-sleeve solution that is capable of producing up to four wide-web, press-ready sleeves per hour with perfect registration.

Kodak HyperFlex resolution enhancement software allows you to control relief depth and dot profiles for consistent presswork and high print quality, particularly in highlights. Combines with Kodak Prinergy Powerpack workflow system, color proofing systems, and internet connectivity tools, ThermoFlex platesetters are part of a complete solution that delivers quality, fast payback, and customer satisfaction.
